Goodbye BYU-I!

Well the day finally came! Graduating Brigham Young University- Idaho with a Bachelors in Social Work! It came so fast; time flies when your in school! What wonderful memories and friendship I have gained that I will treasure forever! My wonderful family came up and celebrated with me!

NoVeMbEr!

SO many things changing and happening; and now it is Christmas time! What an exciting time! It's time to catch up on the month of November! Let's begin at the beginning of the month!

Graduation is also very close at hand I can't wait! And for Christmas, a wedding, and just life in general what a wonderful time we live in! Time to celebrate, have fun, and enjoy the time we have!

The holidays are coming! Love decorating for the seasons! And what a wonderful way to begin the holiday season! After a long day, we had friends come over and played games! Oh and we dressed up! So much fun! Matt made me the belt and we had a blast!

Chicken Chicken Chicken Chicken! For a great price too! $1.69 per pound! Great price right? Thank you Zaycon Foods! www.zayconfoods.com  We order 40 pounds of chicken since I had leftover empty jars. I absolutely love being prepared and having food storage! Thanks to the wonderful Rogers from my home ward I even have my own pressure cooker! Mind you its time consuming so set a day aside to be able to do it!

The pieces of chicken are HUGE and great for canning! I only had 35 jars so we frozen the other 5 pounds in the freezer for dinners later in the week! Such a great idea for food storage!

If you have ever been to Rexburg, also known as Rexbrrrrrg, you know the snow is coming! Well it came. It teased us Tuesday and melted then Thursday we woke up to 6 or 7 inches! Fall it was nice for two weeks but Winter has come! "Where's the hot chocolate?!"

 As newlyweds and college students we don't exactly live the Rich life, but we find ways to live the High life! Every month on Fridays is date night! Which you will find out in marriage is needed! LOVE IT :) Matthew is in charge every other Fridays and Me the Fridays in between. Each is given $20.00 for the month! This means we must become creative with date ideas....if we spent all our money for the month....which I did earlier in the month. So...waffles, snow, and games! FREE date night and super fun! Try it! It encourages creativity, budgets well, and don't have to figure out "what you wanna do?"(For those who are indecisive like us).

This is Jerry who now lives in our backyard. He was born October 26, 2012 at 8:30 pm. Jerry stands 5' 9'' or 6 feet with the hat and weighs a whole-heck-of-a-lot!

     Ending the week with the temple is the best! To feel such peace and comfort, to know that sooner or later everything will be okay! This is the place to go! The temple is the House of the Lord and can give so much to those who have faith and live righteously! Everything in this building is eternal! After coming to Rexburg this temple has given me a place to turn when I have no idea where to go. The temple is not just a place to go once a week it's my (our) home! 

The Projects!

There is so much going on lately school, work, internship, life...time is flying out the window already! Holidays are coming also! I love this time of the year, even though in Rexburg fall only last for two weeks. I finally got my August projects up. I stained our dresser and made a skirt! How much fun it is to see the final product of hard work!

I was in Grandpa Cobabe's shop! I love the color and that it comes with a mirror! 

 Here is the skirt I made! I got the material from Ikea! Yes Ikea is amazing! I suggest using stretchy material if you are going to make a pin skirt. Mine was stiff and had to resew quite a few times. We had so much fun with the Hokanson's! Matt ate one point made Sunday dinner which we had to eat Filipino style (hands only). Delicious and messy! 

Life brings such great joy as long as we take the time to find it! President Thomas S. Monson stated, "Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey and share our love with friends and family."

Life As A Newlywed

       When you are engaged you think awe I can't wait to be married. Then it gets to the point I WANT TO BE MARRIED NOW! But after the wonderful blissful most exciting day of your life comes married life. Honestly it's not too different...granted now your sharing your bed, food, house, life.....okay so maybe it is different then being single, but honestly it just feels like you are on vacation with your best friend! Now I just need lots of new recipes, projects, and wifey skills. Along with that comes insurance and a lot more bills. Reality has hit! Sometimes growing up comes too slow yet way too fast! Oh P.S. Matthew and I's first big purchase as a couple MY NEW 2001 KIA RIO! Isn't it pretty?! I love it but now I have to learn to drive stick better...Hope all goes well! It is time I become grown up...ha ha well partially!
