Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to a most generous mother! Each person believes they have the best mother and it is true! You have the best mother for you! I just want to let everyone know why my mother is amazing! Yes, she IS amazing! She has done so much for my family! Mom loves her children with an endearing love. She will do anything for her children, nieces, and nephews! Mom is my best friend right next to Matt ;) Which is funny because she use to ask me why I dated other guys and not Matt! I told Mom Matt was too much of a brother to me...and look where that has landed me! Mom always knew what my choices would be or what I needed no matter what! I remember she would call at the most perfect timing whether I needed to vent or cry.

I remember in college being so busy and overwhelmed sitting on my bed frustrated and trying hard not to break down and just get through the day. Mom called and after saying hello she asked what was wrong. I said nothing (Obviously trying to prove my independence and not needing to rely on her). Well she was not fooled. Mom asked again what was wrong. I could not hold it anymore and started to tear up. Mom use to tell me "Mom's know everything!" To this day I still believe it is true! Mom let me have my cry and would straighten me out!

I may not be able to call her on the phone to talk, ask a question, or share my day with her. We may not be able to get turtle cheesecake, cream puff, flavored water, and watch Kate & Leopold. We may not start cleaning at 2:00 in the morning just because! Although there are many things I miss, there is one thing I am extremely grateful for: being sealed to my family for ALL TIME AND ETERNITY!

It is the greatest gift I have come to cherish more than words can express! And at times I still feel her presence and her love surround me! Christmas is one of Mom's favorite holidays! Every year the day after Thanksgiving we would decorate the house and be playing Christmas music for the rest of the season! Her favorite, which have now become mine, were snowman and candy cane colors! This year Matthew and I are blessed to have two trees in our home. And after much anticipation I received my mother's ornaments we worked on one year and many other treasures!

I made the snowflake at a Relief Society activity and it works perfectly with the theme!
Yes it is hard but I could not be more grateful for the precious time I got to have with her! And I will see her again! Until that day she will always be in my heart and home! I love you Mother, Happy Birthday!

What a month! I love this month for so many reasons! My birthday, starts to feel like summer, flowers bloom, and so much more. A wonderful month this has been so far! My birthday was good, the older I get the less important they feel, but Matt and I went out to Red Robin and it was delicious! Matt was upset because he had told the waitress and waiters it was my birthday and no song came!

Well for years I have debated the idea of going brunette...it is now done! Crazy, but I love it!

Matthew and I had a wonderful time this weekend. Matt's family came out and we had a splendid time! We got them to even help around the house ;) They helped clean out the front and back yard and start our garden which I am SUPER excited for! My mom and I have always wanted a garden, now its here!

Mother's day is such a special day and even more dear to my heart. I have been blessed with so many mother-figures in my life. My own mother is my best friend! She is so loving and caring! Though I'm unable to talk with her as often as I would like, her example means more to me than ever! "My mother didn't tell me how to live, she showed me!"

I also now have the wonderful pleasure to have a mom-in-law/ 2nd mom! She is fantastic and such a wonderful person! She raised a great man who I now call my husband! Not only does she care, she is also there to love and support and we appreciate her so much!

Just an update pic on our pup! He's getting so big so fast I'm starting to understand why my mother told me to stop growing up!

Idaho Falls!!!

Sometimes life decides to take you in a different direction that you had not planned on! Well life certainly took a spin for us. Matt and I, as of March 29, 2013, are now homeowners of a house in Idaho Falls! We absolutely love it and the ward we are in. We are sad to have moved away from our friends in Rexburg, but can not wait to see what is in store for the future. Currently, we are in progress on painting and making a few changes here and there on the house, more pictures will come soon!

Our House!

Also we have gotten a new addition to our family, his name is Titus! He is a 3 month old shepherd mix (w/ husky? not sure). We have so much fun with him!

My Two Favorite Boys! :)

Matt on our deck!

We also are finding daffodils growing everywhere in the backyard and front yard!
Anyone is welcome to visit us, though the weather is not always predictable ;) So many changes in life I can not believe it! Oh and Matthew got a rifle as well to go hunting in a few months! Crazy I tell ya it is crazy around here!

Valentine's and more!

I still can't get over how time flies! Lindsay Dawson/Nuttall, my best friend from high school had her baby boy, Arii. Such a cutie!

As society sees Valentine's day as chocolate, flowers, fancy dinners...etc... Well I went to work and so did Matt. Matt didn't come home till almost 8 pm. We had a wonderful time though! I had made Zuppa Tuscana, one of our new favorites thanks to Aunt Jan! So Matt came home with rose, almond roca, light blue Gatorade, and a 2-disc Anastasia DVD [My favorite]! Evidently when Matt was buying those items the cashier thought I was crazy because I don't like chocolate or apple cider, but we still had something to fill our wine glasses with! :)

Since Matthew is off track he has taken the opportunity to grow out a beard. He gets excited about it and has had many compliments on it. Still not sure how I feel about it yet, but come April he will be clean shaven everyday! ;) The first one is 1 week, the second is 4 weeks. There is a hint of red in it as well.

We keep finding more and more recipes for homemade foods. The recent one we love is cinnamon rolls! (thank you family recipe book and Aunt Jeanine) They are spectacular and delicious, we have them more as a dessert than breakfast! The other pan is Lion House rolls! Yumm!

Well it still snows in this wonderful town of Rexburg, but hopefully we will be moving soon!

A New YEAR! 2013

Matt and I had such a great time in Washington for Christmas! So much food, friends, and family! We got our traditional pajamas for Christmas! What a wonderful start to a new year!

We took a walk around the Idaho Falls temple and the falls were gorgeous partially frozen and freezing.

All the ducks were on the side since the river was mostly frozen, Matt thought he could catch one. It has been so cold lately and dumping snow all on one day! We bundled up to walk to the red box and Matt thought I looked to funny, but I was warm! ( He got cold on the way home) ;)

I am also now officially a social worker! And am employed at an agency in Idaho Falls! I honestly love my job and excited for what this new year brings! This last one was full of excitement and growth now time to grow more and enjoy life!
